Effluent leaving the Nyngan Sewage Treatment Plant is monitored in accordance with the terms of the licence. Licencees are required to publish pollution monitoring data that has been collected as a result of a licence condition, in accordance with section 66(6) of the POEO Act and written requirements issued by the EPA.
The Nyngan Sewage Treatment Plant has two discharge points which are monitored quarterly. DP1 at the Effluent Reuse Pond inside the Aerodrome and DP2 at the centre of the pivot on the property "Laravoulta".
There are 5 ground water monitoring points (MB1 – MB5) which are monitored quarterly with 3 soil monitoring points (SL1 – SL3) which are monitored annually. A further 3 soil monitoring points (SA1 – SA3) inside the Aerodrome which are monitored annually if the site is used for irrigation.

Nyngan Waste Facility
The Nyngan Waste Facility is licenced by the NSW Environment Protection Authority. The licence number is 20471.
Environment Protection Authority Licence
The Waste Facility carries out all operations in accordance with this licence. Licencees are required to publish pollution monitoring data that has been collected as a result of a licence condition, in accordance with section 66(6) of the POEO Act and written requirements issued by the EPA.
There are eight ground water monitoring bores (MW1 –MW8) surrounding the site which are monitored quarterly and can be viewed here.
