The Nyngan Three Rivers Case IH Ag Expo will be held this Saturday 3rd August 2024 at Nyngan Show Ground. Gates will open at 9am. I wish the Committee all the best for the day and hopefully the rain holds out for the event. It’s looking to be another great yearly event with the tractor pull once again being held and there will also be lots of other sponsors and stall holders this year, including the Show and Shine, shearing competition, wine stalls, sheep dog trials, government organisations, banks, food stalls, arts and crafts, fashion, live entertainment
and of course farm machinery. The vintage tractor pull will start at 10am with a few local entries and the modified tractor pull will start from 1:30pm. Entry tickets are $15 per adult, youth (12-17) $5.00 and pensioners are $10. You can also pre purchase tickets at www.123tix.com
NSW Fisheries are still certain a remediation order for the Monkey Bridge Crossing needs to be carried out. Council has asked for an extension of time on this decision and myself and the Director of Engineering Services will meet with Minister for Agriculture, Regional and Western NSW Tara Moriarty on August 13th 2024. We will discuss this extension and consideration of a better solution to be sourced for the future of the crossing that will still meet the guidelines as well as funding for the crossing as the current plan they are recommending for the construction is a direct cost to Council.
The Big Bogan Street Festival Tickets are now available free of charge and can be secured at www.trybooking.com/CSVPM. It’s sure to be a day for whole the family, with Little Bogan and Big Bogan activities throughout the day as well as live entertainment and food. I’m sure it’s a day not to be missed on the calendar Saturday 28th September 2024.
