I would like to ask everyone to be a bit more mindful of recycling habits at home. In recent months contamination from your yellow bins that have been collected for recycling are taken to the Gilgandra Community Recycling Facility is up by 30 % of non-recyclable products. Dead animals, syringes and garden waste are just some of the items that are being put into the yellow bins and are not recyclable. This then has to be put into Gilgandra landfill and Bogan Shire Council is charged for the dumping. If you are unsure or need more information on the proper process of recycling requirement’s, please contact Bogan Shire Council offices.
