RATES AND WATER

Water accounts for the first quarter 2025 were due for payment on 31 October 2024. The second instalment notice for rates 2025 have been issued and are due for payment on 30 November 2024.

Please contact Council as soon as possible if you are having difficulties making your rates or water payments so arrangements may be entered into. If ratepayers do not make contact, they may be referred to a debt recovery agent and further fees and charges added to the account.

All overdue payments also incur an interest charge of 10.5 percent, calculated daily. Council may also install flow restrictors to water meters for ratepayers with overdue water accounts. This is a last resort option. Payments can be made in person by cash, cheque and eftpos at Council between 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday. Customers can also use bpay, direct debit, credit card, or deductions from Centrelink. Please contact Council if you wish to discuss any of these options further.

BATS IN BACKYARDS SURVEY

As part of a citizen science project being undertaken by the NSW Department of Environment, interested residents have the opportunity to be involved by completing a survey of bat populations in their backyards. The aim of this program is to secure populations of threatened insect-eating bats. Of the 34 species in NSW, 18 are listed as threatened or thought to be extinct.

Interested residents can survey insect-eating bats on your property by recording bat calls.  Express your interest by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
