Summer weather has well and truly arrived in the district with the hot dry and windy days. We have already experienced a few fires around the Shire, I urge everyone to be vigilant on days of extreme heat and check on your neighbours, particularly the elderly. Keep hydrated and cool. From all reports, the pool has been very well utilised, keeping Scott extremely busy.
In the last week I’ve made contact with Ian George from Telstra in regard to the lack of phone service in the Bogan Shire LGA, the service seems to have seriously depleted since the change over from 3g network. There seems to be many areas now where service simply doesn’t exist, even within the Nyngan Township, which is a major concern for us all. Hopefully, Telstra can soon rectify the issue.
